Azraël

Alcune storie iniziano con un foglio di carta attaccato al muro di un negozio di dischi. Fine 1988, Riviera Ligure: Alessandro "Ale" Arbocò lascia un annuncio tra Genova e Recco cercando musicisti sulla sua lunghezza d'onda, e da quel gesto nasce qualcosa di vero.

Palchi liguri, brani originali, cover di Iron Maiden, Metallica e Crimson Glory: heavy metal classico portato avanti con lo spirito di chi non ha nient'altro da dimostrare tranne sé stesso. Nel 1994 gli Azraël si fermano. Certe cose richiedono tempo. Qualche volta ne richiedono tantissimo.

Il momento giusto è il 2026. La band torna con una formazione rinnovata costruita attorno al chitarrista fondatore Andy Lijoi e pubblica Clockwork Abyss, EP di debutto in cinque tracce scritte, registrate, mixate e masterizzate interamente dalla band. Lo stesso spirito di trent'anni fa, non una minestra riscaldata.

Some stories begin with a piece of paper pinned to the wall of a record shop. Late 1988, the Ligurian Riviera: Alessandro "Ale" Arbocò left a notice between Genoa and Recco looking for musicians on the same wavelength, and something real came of it.

Ligurian stages, original material, covers of Iron Maiden, Metallica and Crimson Glory: classic heavy metal driven by the DIY spirit of people who had nothing to prove except themselves. In 1994, Azraël went silent. Some things take time. Sometimes a great deal of it.

The wait ended in 2026. The band returned with a renewed line-up built around founding guitarist Andy Lijoi, releasing Clockwork Abyss, a debut EP of five tracks written, recorded, mixed and mastered entirely by the band. The same spirit as thirty years ago, intact.
